Scan, Then
Do Everything Else
Cigar Scanner identifies your cigar and stops. Emberly identifies it — then adds it to your humidor, pairs it with the perfect spirit, and connects you to a growing community of fellow enthusiasts.
Quick verdict
The Scanner Is
Just the Beginning
Same Scanner, More Power
Emberly's AI achieves up to 98% confidence on cigar band identification. After the scan, one tap adds it to your digital humidor — no re-entry required. Cigar Scanner identifies and exits.
Scan → Pair Instantly
The moment Emberly identifies your cigar, it shows you the ideal spirit pairing — bourbon, scotch, rum, tequila — with a compatibility score and tasting notes. Cigar Scanner has no spirits data at all.
A Community Behind Every Scan
Emberly turns every scan into a social moment — share it to your feed, write a review, see what other enthusiasts think of the same cigar. Cigar Scanner is a solo experience with no community layer.

Why it matters
What Happens
After the Scan
The Scan Is Step One, Not the Destination
Cigar Scanner is a lookup tool. Emberly is an ecosystem. When you scan a Padrón 1964 with Emberly, you immediately see its tasting profile, get a bourbon pairing recommendation, log it to your humidor, and can share it to your feed in one fluid workflow. The scan is the starting point.
Your Collection Grows With You
Every cigar you scan in Emberly becomes part of your permanent collection history. You can track aging, note where each stick lives (humidor, travel case, office), write tasting notes over time, and see your portfolio's total value. Cigar Scanner doesn't retain any of this data.
Spirits Pairing — A Feature Cigar Scanner Will Never Have
If you drink bourbon, scotch, or rum with your cigars — Cigar Scanner offers you nothing. Emberly's pairing engine was built specifically for this. Scan a cigar, instantly know which spirit complements it, and understand exactly why based on flavor profile analysis. This is the feature that sets Emberly apart from every other cigar app.
You're Not Smoking Alone
Emberly connects you to a community of enthusiasts who share your taste. Post your scan to the Lounge feed, comment on others' pairings, weigh in on community polls, and build a public profile that reflects your expertise. Cigar Scanner has no community features whatsoever.
Common questions
Emberly vs Cigar Scanner
FAQ
Yes. Emberly's AI scanner achieves up to 98% confidence on band identification, covering brand, blend, wrapper, vitola, strength, and country of origin. Unlike Cigar Scanner, Emberly doesn't stop at identification — it immediately connects that scan to your humidor, a pairing recommendation, and your review history.
After scanning, you see the full cigar profile — tasting notes, strength rating, vitola specs, and origin. One tap adds it to your digital humidor. You can immediately see its best spirit pairing, write a review, or share it to your social feed. The whole flow takes about 10 seconds from scan to logged.
No. Cigar Scanner is a pure identification tool and does not offer collection tracking, digital humidor features, portfolio valuation, or any persistent data storage for your cigars. Emberly's digital humidor lets you track every stick across multiple storage locations with valuations and aging notes.
