Know what you own — and what it's worth
Every stick and bottle in one humidor + bar shelf, with value and aging so you stop relying on memory.

Not just another cigar app
The Only App With a Full AI Arsenal
Boxpressed and Cigarbase only track and catalog cigars. Ember paywalls its scanner and skips spirits entirely. Cigar Scanner only identifies. Emberly is the only app that gives you all of this — limited on Free, unlimited on Premium.
AI Cigar & Spirit Scanning
Point your camera at any cigar band or spirit bottle for an instant identification — brand, blend, wrapper, vitola, or distillery — with a confidence score.
Nobody else does both. Ember paywalls its scanner and Cigar Scanner only identifies cigars — neither one scans spirits.
AI Sommelier
Every pairing comes with a bespoke tasting note — written third by third — plus a recommended way to serve it, composed by our AI Sommelier.
Unique to Emberly. No other cigar app writes a custom tasting note for your exact cigar-and-spirit combination.
AI Taste Profile
Emberly reads your reviews over time and builds a personal taste profile — the strengths, wrappers, and flavors you actually love — to sharpen every recommendation.
Personalized, not generic. Boxpressed and Cigarbase show the same catalog to everyone; Emberly learns you.
The biggest differentiator
The Only Cigar App
That Knows Your Spirits
Boxpressed, Cigarbase, and Cigar Scanner only track cigars. Emberly crosses the boundary — pairing every cigar in our catalog with the ideal bourbon, whiskey, scotch, rum, tequila, cognac, and wine using a proprietary flavor-profile algorithm.
- Bourbon & American Whiskey — vanilla, caramel, oak, and spice matched against full-bodied Maduros
- Scotch & Single Malt — smoke and peat complementing earthy Connecticut wrappers
- Aged Rum & Cognac — sugar cane sweetness elevating lighter, creamy Claro blends
- Wine, Tequila & More — a complete flavor-pairing matrix across every major spirit category
Beyond the score
Every Pairing Comes With the Story Behind It
The Sommelier's Note
A bespoke tasting note written by our AI Sommelier for your exact pairing — how the flavors evolve third by third, plus how to serve it. Free members get three a month; Premium is unlimited.
Why This Works
Every match includes a full compatibility breakdown across six dimensions — flavor affinity, body match, balance, smoke chemistry, origin synergy, and finish — plus shared flavors and flavor bridges explained in plain English.
Your Taste Profile, Curated by You
Emberly reads your reviews as you log them and quietly builds a taste profile — your favorite strengths, wrappers, and flavor families — to make every future pairing and recommendation sharper.
From the humidor
Collectors, in
their own words
First name, a face, and a specific outcome — the way collectors actually talk.
Logged my whole humidor in an evening. I finally know what I own.
Scanned a band, got a bourbon pairing, and saved both. That's the whole night, in the app.
I used to remember a handful. Emberly remembers every stick — and what it's worth.
The written note is why I stayed. Not just a score — why this pour works with this stick.
Pointed the camera at a band I couldn't name. It knew. Then it found the pour.
Less than one cigar a month for Premium. I spend more on the stick.
I know what's in the humidor before I open the lid.
Scan, log, pair. I stopped guessing what I still had.

Emberly's proprietary pairing algorithm analyzes a cigar's flavor profile — body, strength, wrapper type, country of origin, and tasting notes — against our catalog of spirits including bourbon, Scotch whisky, Irish whiskey, rum, tequila, mezcal, cognac, brandy, and wine. The engine generates a compatibility score and a written tasting note explaining exactly why the pairing works. It's the only cigar app that crosses the boundary between tobacco and spirits. Free cigar apps track sticks. They don't pair your cigar with a pour, write a Sommelier note for that exact match, or give you a digital bar shelf next to the humidor. Emberly does — and every AI feature (scanner, Sommelier note, Taste Profile) is usable on Free first. Premium is $4.99/mo if you want unlimited scans and notes. Less than one cigar a month, and less than half what Cigarbase or Cigarista charge.
Premium ($4.99/month) unlocks an unlimited digital humidor and bar shelf, unlimited AI Sommelier tasting notes for every pairing, unlimited AI cigar and spirit scanning, an AI Taste Profile built automatically from your reviews, full smoke journal analytics with unlimited history, full collection portfolio analytics, CSV export, and priority support. Emberly is a progressive web app — a full app you install to your home screen from Safari or Chrome, not a store download. We chose this deliberately: tobacco and alcohol apps face increasing removal risk on Apple and Google's stores, and a web app gives you the same scanner, humidor, and pairings on iPhone, Android, and desktop without that gatekeeping.
